Donegal has a habit of looking absolutely stunning no matter what the weather is like. Helen and Connor got married in Dunfanaghy during the last weekend of June. While the couple are both from Derry, they met as teenagers in Dunfanaghy where both of their families have holiday homes. Naturally, Helen got ready in her family holiday home. It was brimful of little memories from loads of past summers.
Deci has known Connor and his best man Dee ever since Queen’s University when they all worked together at Queen’s Radio. It was great having Dee and chief Bridesmaid Clare on hand all day – never have I seen two people work as hard to help their friends have the best day ever.
After a rainy start to the day the skies cleared just as the newlyweds walked down the aisle to the tune of ‘Here Comes the Sun.’ Weddings are full of beautiful little moments, and this was one that everyone appreciated. To take them around the hills of Donegal, Helen and Connor got a beautiful Citroën DS which perfectly matched Helen’s vintage elegance.
Sometimes at wedding receptions the guys hang around at the bar while the ladies take to the floor. Helen and Connor’s wedding was different – it was the guys who hogged the floor in a highly impressive fashion!!!
